The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
